Most heating and insulation material can only be used under vacuum vacuum quenching furnace heating and insulation lining is working under vacuum and high temperature, these materials have high temperature resistant, low steam, radiation effect is good, low coefficient of thermal conductivity, etc. Such as domestic existing vacuum quenching furnace mainly adopts graphite heating and heat insulation structure material, it is heated extremely easy oxidation under atmospheric conditions, therefore, conventional heat treatment furnace can not use these heating and insulation materials.
Vacuum heat treatment furnace shell, furnace cover, electric heating element (water-cooled electrode), middle vacuum insulation, etc., all work under vacuum and heat. In this extremely unfavorable condition work, must ensure the structure of each component is not deformed, do not damage, vacuum sealing ring is not too hot, do not burn. Therefore, the components are equipped with water cooling devices according to different circumstances to ensure that the vacuum furnace can operate normally and have sufficient service life.
Heating the workpiece with low voltage large current in vacuum heat treatment furnace, when the vacuum degree to a few hundred mpa (Pa), electric conductor under high voltage, can produce glow discharge phenomenon, serious can produce arc discharge, burning electric heating element, insulation, etc., cause serious accident and loss. Therefore, the working voltage of the vacuum heat treatment furnace is generally not more than 80 to 100 volts. At the same time, the electric heating element avoids the cutting edge of the components, and the space between the electrodes should not be too narrow to prevent the glow discharge or arc discharge.
The degree of automation is high because of the heating and cooling of metal workpieces, which require a dozen or even dozens of actions to complete. These actions are carried out in a vacuum heat treatment furnace, which the operator can’t access. At the same time, some actions, such as the completion of heating and thermal insulation, must be completed in a short time. In such a rapid condition to complete many actions, it is very easy to cause the operator’s tension to constitute a misoperation. Therefore, most vacuum quenching furnaces are controlled by high automation procedures.
