Which material cannot be treated in vacuum furnace?
If the vacuum furnace is used to process metal raw materials, many metal raw materials are processed through high temperature or for the rest of the production, so is there a certain type of metal raw materials can not be heat treatment in the vacuum furnace?
Due to technical requirements, processing cost, process completion of the difficult level, the following raw materials (workpiece) is not suitable for vacuum furnace treatment.
1. High temperature is sensitive to N element, which is easy to cause harmful effects of raw materials. In order to prevent the volatilization of alloy elements at high temperature, the vacuum furnace is usually charged with high purity nitrogen to maintain partial pressure at high temperature. Therefore, this kind of material is not suitable for vacuum furnace treatment.
2. Carbon steel. From the point of view of cost research, carbon steel value is low, the value of molding items is low, using vacuum furnace treatment is really expensive, unless the high profit workpiece may still do not have the workpiece processing allowance, on the surface quality requirements of acid expediency.
3. Some raw materials (workpieces) using a unique process. For example, in order to achieve good mechanical function, some parts require to obtain bainite, usually isothermal quenching to complete, vacuum heat treatment furnace is difficult to complete; Another example is T10 steel, which requires high hardness and low deformation, and is usually completed by water-quenched oil cooling process. Although high hardness can be obtained by high-pressure gas quenching in vacuum furnace, the deformation is large because the temperature under Ms point is cooled at a faster speed.
The above three kinds of raw materials are not suitable for processing in the vacuum furnace metal raw materials, in the equipment before the factory will all have the vacuum furnace detailed parameters.
