Vacuum Heat Treatment of 3Cr2W8V Steel Hot Extrusion Die
Material: 3Cr2W8V Steel
Technical requirements: hardness 48 ~ 55HRC.
The main strength and toughness indexes of 3Cr2W8V steel hot extrusion die are high-temperature strength, fracture toughness, cold and hot fatigue resistance and crack growth rate. Originally, it was treated by salt bath furnace, with decarburization, non brightness and uneven hardness on the surface. Sometimes it was scrapped due to salt bath corrosion in the cavity, and the service life is 1500 pieces. After vacuum quenching + vacuum tempering, the surface is bright without decarburization, The service life is 4000 pieces, more than double that of the original.
