Vacuum Heat Treatment of 300M (40CrMnSiNi2MoVAI) Steel Piston Rod
Material: 40CrMnSiNi2MoVAI steel
300M (40CrMnSiNi2MoVAI) steel piston rod adopts vacuum heat treatment process, so as to give full play to the potential of the material, avoid problems such as oxidation and decarburization, the surface is bright and the deformation of the workpiece is small, and the fatigue strength can be improved at the same time. For this type of ultra-high-strength structural steel, on the premise of maintaining brightness, a lower degree of vacuum should be selected to avoid volatilization of alloying elements. For 300M steel, a vacuum degree of 13.3~6.67X 10-1Pa can be used. When the oil is quenched, the oil surface pressure can be within 1X 105 ~ 13.3Pa to obtain the same hardness value as the atmospheric condition, and there is no need to fill high-purity nitrogen to increase the oil surface pressure. Figure 1 shows the vacuum heat treatment process curve of the piston rod made of this material.
