This paper briefly introduces the analysis of several controllable atmospheres, and debugs the vacuum plus controllable nitrogen atmosphere device. The practice shows that the bright annealing of steel strip of textile accessories is successful, and the products with high quality, no oxidation, no decarburization and bright surface can be obtained.

Metal clothing needle is the main product of textile equipment industry. In order to produce high quality metal clothing needle, a textile factory has introduced a set of automatic flow line for drawing, rolling, punching, quenching and coiling of metal clothing needle, but there is a lack of matching heat treatment furnace.

Therefore, we are entrusted to undertake the research and development of the project. Based on the in-depth study of the production process and the technical requirements of the heat treatment equipment, the design scheme is put forward, and the heat treatment furnace and supporting sealing device are manufactured. It has been proved by design, manufacture, field debugging and production that the guiding and sealing structure of the furnace is reliable. The products treated by this equipment have no oxidation and decarburization, and the surface is bright. The metallographic and hardness test results can meet the technical requirements, and have been praised by Swiss experts. The surface oxidation and decarburization of the needle cloth steel strip after annealing in the past are avoided, and the hardness is uniform.

The quality and production efficiency of needle cloth steel needles are comparable with the same type of foreign products. The achievements of this new pre vacuum nitrogen based controllable atmosphere furnace provide a new equipment for bright heat treatment in machinery industry. The equipment is composed of furnace body, vacuum system and gas source. It has the characteristics of high efficiency and energy saving.
