Application Characteristics of Vacuum Brazing Machine for Diamond Tools
Diamond brazing vacuum furnace can be rapidly developed and applied, mainly because it has a series of advantages compared with other welding methods.
(1) In the whole brazing process of diamond brazing vacuum furnace, the brazed parts are in the vacuum condition (10-2Pa-10 Pa range), and there will be no oxidation, augmentation, decarbonization and pollution deterioration. The cleanliness and strength of the welded joints are high.
(2) When brazing in vacuum furnace with diamond brazing, the whole part is heated uniformly and the thermal stress is small, so the deformation can be controlled to a small limit, which is especially suitable for brazing of products.
(3) The low pressure around the base metal and filler metal can eliminate all volatile gases and impurities released at the brazing temperature, improve the performance of the base metal and obtain a very bright joint.
(4) Because the vacuum furnace for diamond brazing does not use brazing flux, there will be no defects such as porosity and inclusions, which can save the process of cleaning residual flux after brazing, save time, improve the working conditions and the environment.
(5) The heat treatment process of the parts can be completed simultaneously in the brazing process. By choosing appropriate brazing process parameters, the brazing process can be arranged as the final process, and the brazing joint with performance meeting the design requirements can be obtained.
(6) Diamond brazing vacuum furnace can braze multiple adjacent welds at one time, or braze multiple components in the same furnace. Welding efficiency is high.
(7) There are many kinds of basic metals that can be brazed in vacuum furnace of diamond brazing, especially suitable for brazing aluminium and aluminium alloy, titanium and titanium alloy, stainless steel, superalloy, etc. It is also suitable for brazing joints of titanium, zirconium, niobium, molybdenum, tungsten and tantalum. For the connection of refractory metals, vacuum brazing is one of the best methods to produce flawless joints. It is also suitable for composite materials, ceramics, graphite, glass, diamond and other materials.
(8) Diamond brazing vacuum furnace opens up the way of product design. It can be used for parts with narrow grooves, minimal transition platform, blind holes, closed containers and parts with complex shapes, without considering the corrosion, cleaning and damage caused by brazing flux, etc.
However, vacuum brazing inevitably has some shortcomings:
(1) Metals in vacuum furnace of diamond brazing are easy to volatilize, so vacuum brazing is not suitable for basic metals and solders containing volatile elements. If it really needs to be used, the corresponding complex technological measures should be adopted.
(2) The vacuum furnace for diamond brazing is sensitive to the surface roughness, assembly quality and fit tolerance of parts before brazing, and requires high working environment.
