Suspension Arm Vacuum Heat Treatment
SIMUWU focuses on the development of vacuum heat treatment equipment and has the production experience of various types of vacuum heat treatment furnaces. In the current production process of metal parts, the use of vacuum heat treatment has gradually become a trend. Compared with traditional heat treatment technology, vacuum heat treatment has the advantages of small deformation, smooth surface, convenient post-processing process, etc. It is a heat treatment technology with broad prospects. In this paper, the vacuum heat treatment technology is introduced by taking a suspension pull arm as an example.
Process flow:
The material of the suspension arm is 20Cr2Ni4A, and the quenching hardness is required to be 37-44HRC.
Preheating stage: The preheating stage is to reduce the temperature difference between the surface and the core of the part and reduce the quenching deformation caused by thermal stress. The parts are quenched into two isothermal sections, preheated at 600°C once, and kept for several hours. In the process of heating the part to the quenching temperature, two heating sections are set. If the heating speed is too fast, the temperature gradient value on the surface and the core of the part will be too large. According to the chemical composition of 20Cr2Ni4A alloy steel, the general requirements for heating and the heating characteristics of the internal heating vacuum furnace, the heating time of the low temperature section is set to be longer, and the heating time of the high temperature section is set to be shorter.
Quenching and cooling: In terms of cooling rate, select vacuum quenching oil with low saturated vapor pressure that matches the degree of vacuum, and regularly check, adjust and replace the cooling rate curve and aging condition of the oil. The quenching process also needs to introduce an appropriate amount of nitrogen to ensure the stability and effectiveness of the cooling effect. In order to reduce the quenching deformation of the parts, it should be ensured that the cooling time is sufficient, and the parts can be released after they are completely cooled.
