SCM440 is a commonly used steel grade for the production of high-strength fasteners. 1. SCM440 Features and Applications

3. SCM440 Heat Treatment Furnace

Annealing 760±10℃ annealing, furnace cooling to 400℃ air cooling.

HB220-230

Normalize  860±10℃ normalize, air-cooled out of the furnace.

Quenching+tempering  840±10℃ quenched with water or oil (depending on the complexity of the product shape), tempered at 680-700 degrees. HB<217

Quenching+tempering  840±10℃ quenching oil, then 470℃ tempering treatment. HRC41-45

Quenching+tempering  840±10℃, quenching oil, and then tempering at 480°C. HRC35-45

Quenching+tempering  Quenching oil at 850°C, then tempering at 510°C. HRC38-42

Quenching+tempering  Quenching oil at 850°C, and then tempering at 500°C. HRC40-43

Quenching+tempering  Quenching oil at 850℃, then tempering at 510℃. HRC36-42

Quenching+tempering  Quenching oil at 850℃, then tempering at 560℃. HRC32-36
