SCM415 is a Japanese steel grade, which is equivalent to 15CrMo and ISO-693-17-1999 15CrMo4. The steel is a low-carbon alloy steel with high thermal strength and oxidation resistance, as well as good comprehensive mechanical properties. Structural steel, used in boilers and steam turbines for superheater tubes, steam pipes and corresponding forgings of high-pressure boilers below 530°C.

2. Features of SCM 415 Nitriding Furnace

SCM 415 nitriding furnace has the characteristics of low processing temperature, short time, and small deformation of the workpiece. Properties: high fatigue limit and good wear resistance. Nitriding process: Pour ammonia gas into the stainless steel vacuum sealed tank in the nitriding furnace, heat it to 520℃, and keep it for an appropriate time. According to the material of the workpiece and the requirements of the layer, the surface of the nitriding workpiece can be contained. Nitrogen strengthened layer to obtain high hardness, high wear resistance, high fatigue limit and good wear resistance.

3. The Working Principle of SCM 415 Nitriding Furnace

SCM 415 nitriding treatment is to use ammonia at a certain temperature (500-600℃), the activated nitrogen atoms decomposed to penetrate and diffuse into the surface layer of steel to form iron-nitrogen alloy, thereby changing the mechanical properties of the steel surface (enhancing the wear resistance) , Increase hardness, improve corrosion resistance, etc.) and physical and chemical properties.
