Resistance Heating Heat Treatment Furnace
Resistance heating heat treatment furnace is a widely used heating equipment in heat treatment production. It uses electric current to generate heat through electric heating elements arranged in the furnace, and transfers heat to the workpiece by means of radiation or convection, so that the workpiece heats the furnace. All kinds of heat treatment furnaces that use metal and non-metal electric heating elements as heating elements belong to this type of furnace.
1. Advantages of Resistance Heating Heat Treatment Furnace
(1) Low temperature, medium temperature and high temperature space can be formed according to the production, and higher temperature uniformity can be obtained.
(2) The furnace body of the heat treatment furnace has a compact structure, which is convenient to be sealed to implement the vacuum heat treatment process or enter a controllable atmosphere.
(3) It is easier to realize automatic control of temperature and process.
2. Heating Element Material of Resistance Heating Heat Treatment Furnace
Because the resistance heating heat treatment furnace is in a vacuum state, the heating element transfers heat to the workpiece in the form of heat radiation. In addition, the volatilization speed of the heating element is higher than that of an ordinary electric furnace. When designing the material of the heating element in the vacuum heat treatment furnace, it is necessary to consider: select materials with higher resistivity; small temperature coefficient of resistance; sufficient high-temperature mechanical strength; small thermal expansion coefficient; not compatible with the protective atmosphere and furnace lining in the furnace, etc. Chemical reaction occurs; heat resistance; easy processing, etc. In addition, the heating element material must be selected after comprehensive consideration of specific factors such as the temperature, structure, process requirements, and economy of the vacuum heat treatment furnace.
The heating elements in the resistance heating heat treatment furnace can be divided into two types: metal and non-metal according to different materials. The materials used for metal heating elements are: nickel-chromium alloy, iron-chromium aluminum alloy, platinum, molybdenum, tungsten, tantalum, etc.; non-metallic heating elements are: silicon carbide, molybdenum dioxide, graphite, etc. The types and characteristics of commonly used electric heating materials in vacuum resistance furnaces are shown in Table 1.
