Injection Molding And Sintering Of Titanium Alloy Powder
In the injection molding of titanium and titanium alloy, the performance of powder and binder has the greatest influence. The oxygen content and particle shape of powder are important influencing factors, and powder with low oxygen content should be selected: powder particle shape selection should be based on the principle of high rolling density and less extruding amount of binder.
Titanium alloy powder sintering binder more use wax base. Sintered body with excellent mechanical properties was prepared by paraffin polypropylene based binder. The mixing ratio of powder and binder should be controlled at 30%(volume fraction).
The results show that the sintering temperature, density and yield strength increase, while the elongation decreases greatly.According to the relationship curve between sintering temperature and oxygen content, the oxygen content increases sharply when sintering above 1 400K. Therefore, in the sintering process, the fixator and filler should be paid special attention to, should try to control the oxygen content.
