Material: W6Mo5Cr4V2 steel
Technical requirements: hardness 60 ~ 65hrc, deformation ≤ 0.5 10mm

Considering that the part is relatively small, if it is placed flat on the tooling, the furnace charging amount is small and it is not easy to operate. Therefore, it is inserted into the casing of the cylindrical drilling and placed vertically on the tooling, leaving a distance of half the diameter of the casing between them for heating and cooling. The process is shown in Figure 1.
Considering that some metal elements are easy to volatilize at high temperature, which will cause parts to adhere to each other and not easy to be separated, the method of filling a small amount of high-purity nitrogen into the heating chamber at the heating and insulation stage above 1000C to reduce the vacuum degree by about 133pa is adopted, so as to solve the problem of adhesion. The surface of parts after vacuum gas quenching is bright and silvery gray, The service life of the drill bit is significantly improved. Considering the small deformation of parts after heat treatment, in order to reduce the production cost and reduce the grinding allowance after heat treatment, it is suggested to increase the machining allowance before heat treatment and carry out vacuum tempering treatment at the same time. The service life of drill bit is significantly improved and the economic benefit is very considerable.
