H13 steel heat treatment process
Quenching process:
H13 steel quenching and tempering process can be used in the salt bath furnace! Heat treatment of H13 steel by salt bath furnace as a heating equipment of general quenching process is: 40 ~ 500 degrees (0.5 mm/min), 650-840 e preheating (0. 5 min/mm) 1020 ~ 1050 degrees austenitizing.(0.25~0.45min/mm), air quenching, oil quenching, gas quenching or fractional quenching are required according to the performance after the insulation, and the fractional temperature can be 500~540 degrees (0.25min/mm).High requirements for fracture toughness, thermal fatigue resistance and thermal wear resistance and the need for electrical machining after quenching treatment of the mold, in order to get the highest red hardness, can be used to austenite temperature limit for the requirements of small distortion!Grain is fine!In order to obtain the best toughness and prevent cracking, the lower limit of austenitizing temperature should be used for the modul s with high impact toughness.The optimum holding time of quenching heating should ensure the completion of microstructure transformation and the required solid solubility of alloying elements.If the quenching heating and holding time is too short, the red hardness and tempering resistance of H13 steel will be reduced. The quenching temperature of H13 steel is higher than that of annealing, and measures should be taken to prevent oxidation and decarbonization and ensure the heating quality.
The microstructure of H13 steel after quenching is: lath martensite + undissolved carbide + retained austenite.
