3. Selection of heating elements. The heating element of vacuum furnace is different in form and material. It is made of high strength graphite. However, in recent years, the emergence of carbon carbon composites has the tendency to replace graphite due to its great technical advantages. Under the same power condition, the thin thickness of carbon – carbon composite material is beneficial to improve the cooling speed. However, some materials will react with C at high temperature, which will change their nature. Therefore, in this case, the heating element with C as the main material cannot be selected, but metal materials such as stainless steel or molybdenum should be selected as the heating element.

4. Functions. Buy vacuum furnace also consider the universality of the process, that is, quenching tempering temperature range to be wide. Especially for high alloy steel, the tempering temperature is high and it is very convenient to tempering without coming out of the furnace after quenching.
