Brazing diamond single crystal, CBN and PCD tools, imported solder paste for vacuum brazing
Traditional manual induction brazing is gradually developing towards vacuum brazing. Vacuum brazing has its great advantages:
1. Mass production can be realized, and more than 200 tools can be produced at a time;
2. Convenient operation, more convenient is that multiple heads on a tool can also be welded at the same time;
3. Increase the strength and ensure the consistency of welding.
Vacuum brazing paste
High-temperature solder paste
containing active brazing material titanium, can be welded to single crystal diamond, CVD, PCD, PCBN, currently mostly used for the welding of single crystal diamond, PCBN, high vacuum requirements (10-2Pa) and high strength.
Medium temperature solder paste
Containing active brazing material titanium, can weld single crystal diamond, CVD, PCD, PCBN, suitable for welding PCD with a temperature resistance of 780 degrees, and requires high vacuum (10-2Pa).
Low temperature solder paste
Containing active brazing material titanium, can be welded to single crystal diamond, CVD, PCD, PCBN, suitable for most PCD welding (especially PCD temperature resistance within 760 degrees), high vacuum requirements (10-2Pa).
Vacuum brazing process:
Step 1: apply ointment
Manually apply the solder paste to the welding seam, place the cutter head, and use the viscosity of the solder paste to fix the cutter head in a suitable position.
Step 2: Enter the furnace and heat up
Put the tool in the vacuum furnace, and keep the gas extraction state during the whole welding process; when the vacuum degree reaches 10-2Pa, start to heat up, keep it at 300°C and 500°C for 3 minutes each, and then keep it at 20°C below the solid phase point 5 minutes, then rise to the welding temperature and hold for 5 minutes The temperature and holding time here can be adjusted appropriately according to the actual conditions such as the power of each vacuum furnace, the number of parts to be welded at a time, and the size of the workpiece.
Step 3: Cooling
As the furnace cools, continue to maintain the state of pumping until the temperature in the furnace is lower than 200 degrees, the furnace can be opened to take the parts.
Storage of solder paste
When the solder paste is not in use, it needs to be sealed, stored at room temperature and in a cool place; it can also be sealed and stored in the refrigerator freezer, and the temperature can be set within 5-20 degrees.
