3dp Technology Vacuum Sintering
3DP technology is an additive manufacturing method based on discrete stacking and droplet spraying technology. It first flattens metal powder into a very thin powder layer, and then sprays and deposits the matching adhesive on the surface of the powder layer as needed. Through repeated powder laying and droplet deposition, the products are finally accumulated into three-dimensional solid parts, and the density and mechanical properties of the parts are guaranteed by processes such as degreasing and sintering.
3DP technology is a fast, low-cost, low-energy manufacturing method, and its bonded and formed prints can realize complex stress-free structures. 3DP technology has been gradually applied in the field of metal 3D printing in recent years, and some research results have been achieved.
Process flow: The 316L stainless steel metal powder prepared by the rotating electrode process was modeled with Solid-Works software, converted into STL format and imported into the Eas-y3DP-M450 metal powder 3DP printing equipment. Printing parameters: the thickness of the powder layer is 0.15 mm, the saturation of the binder is 35%, and the powder coating speed is 10 cm/s. After the sample is printed, it should be placed in a vacuum oven for heating, curing and degreasing according to the characteristics of the adhesive.
After preliminary degreasing, it is put into a vacuum furnace for sintering. In order to avoid a large amount of carbon residues produced by the binder during high-temperature degreasing, the degreasing process was set as vacuum degreasing at 600 °C for 5 h, and the heating rate was 5 °C/min. The degreasing samples were vacuum sintered at 1435℃, and the vacuum degree was ≤6.0×10-3Pa. The heating rate was set at 5°C/min to 1100°C to ensure the sintering efficiency. Then, the temperature is raised to the set temperature of 1435°C at 1°C/min. The slow temperature increase can reduce the thermal stress concentration inside the material during the sintering process, thereby avoiding the initiation and propagation of cracks.
