1. Application
2300℃ Controlled Atmosphere Vacuum Sintering Furnace is used in the production and experiment of ceramic metallurgy, electronics, glass, chemical industry, machinery, refractory materials, new material development, special materials, building materials and other fields.
2. Classification
There are many types of controllable atmosphere heat treatment furnaces, including periodic and continuous types.
Periodic furnaces: including pit furnaces and sealed box furnaces (also known as multi-purpose furnaces), suitable for small batch production of multiple varieties, and can be used for heat treatment such as bright quenching, bright annealing, carburizing, and carbonitriding.
Continuous furnace: There are push rod type, rotary bottom type and various forms of continuous controllable atmosphere carburizing production lines, etc., suitable for mass production, and can be bright quenching, tempering, carburizing and carbonitriding heat treatment .
3. Features of Controllable Atmosphere Heat Treatment Furnace
(1) The furnace is well sealed
Furnace sealing forms mainly include furnace body sealing and furnace pot sealing. The furnace body sealing includes the sealing of the furnace shell, the furnace door, the lead-out hole of the electric heating element, the thermocouple hole, the fan shaft hole, and the hole of the pushing machine out of the furnace. Under the controllable atmosphere, electric heating elements need to use materials with strong anti-carburization properties or add anti-carburization coatings, and use low-voltage power supply to prevent the components from carburizing or furnace wall carbon deposits from short-circuiting and destroying the components. Use furnace pot (metal or ceramic pot) to isolate and seal
(2) Maintain positive pressure in the furnace
Positive pressure should be maintained in the controllable atmosphere furnace to prevent explosion caused by the intrusion of air outside the furnace, and to ensure the stability of the internal atmosphere. The measures to maintain the positive pressure in the furnace are to supply enough controllable gas at a certain pressure to ensure that the controllable atmosphere is full of the furnace; for a fully sealed furnace, set a water seal at the exhaust gas outlet; control the pressure in the furnace; set charging at the furnace door The front room and the fire curtain are installed to isolate air intrusion and prevent the furnace gas jacket.
(3) The atmosphere in the furnace is uniform
The controllable atmosphere must circulate in the furnace to make the atmosphere and temperature uniform to ensure consistent product quality. Therefore, most controllable atmosphere furnaces are equipped with fans. The controllable atmosphere can be supplied from the side of the heating chamber or dripped from above the heating chamber.
(4) Install safety devices
Most controllable atmospheres are toxic and explosive. In addition to requiring correct operation, there should be explosion-proof holes on the furnace, and safety devices should also be provided. For example, one-way valve, stop valve, flame check valve, pressure tester, safety alarm and other devices are set on the pipeline.
(5) The internal components of the furnace resist atmospheric corrosion
For the endothermic controllable atmosphere furnace, the lining needs to be built with impermeable bricks. Most controllable atmospheres have corrosive effects on electric heating elements, destroying the oxide film of the elements, carburizing or nitriding, and shortening the service life of the elements. In order to protect the electric heating element, it can be installed in the radiant tube. The components exposed to the atmosphere should be heated in an oxidizing atmosphere to decarbonize and deoxidize, and re-form a protective oxide film. The hot node of the thermocouple shall not be exposed to a controlled atmosphere.
