Vacuum gas quenching furnace characteristics:
(1) Water-cooling device, shell, cover, conductive disposal of electric heating element (water-cooled electrode) and heat insulation of middle vacuum of vacuum heat treatment furnace all work in vacuum and heating state. In this extremely disadvantageous condition, work to ensure that the structure of the components is not deformed and damaged, and that the vacuum sealing ring is not too hot and burnt. Therefore, each component should be equipped with water cooling device according to different conditions to ensure that the vacuum heat treatment furnace can operate normally and has sufficient service life.
(2) Using low voltage and high current: when the vacuum degree is within the range of several torres-l*10-1 torches, the electrified conductor in the vacuum container will produce glow discharge at higher voltage. In vacuum heat treatment furnace, serious arc discharge will occur, burning down electric heating elements, insulation layer and so on, resulting in major accidents and losses. Therefore, the working voltage of the electric heating element of the vacuum heat treatment furnace generally does not exceed 80-100 volts.
At the same time, effective measures should be taken in the design of the structure of the electrothermal components, such as avoiding the parts with the tip as far as possible, and the spacing between the electrodes should not be too narrow to prevent the occurrence of glow discharge or arc discharge.
(3) Most heating and insulation materials can only be used in vacuum: heating and insulation lining materials of vacuum heat treatment furnace work in vacuum and high temperature, so the requirements of high temperature resistance, low vapor pressure, good radiation effect and low thermal conductivity are put forward for these materials. The requirement of oxidation resistance is not high. Therefore, tantalum, tungsten, molybdenum and graphite are widely used as heating and insulation materials in vacuum heat treatment furnace. These materials are easily oxidized in the atmosphere, so they can not be used in conventional heat treatment furnaces.
(4) Strict vacuum sealing: It is well known that vacuum heat treatment of metal parts is carried out in a closed vacuum furnace. Therefore, it is very important to obtain and maintain the original leakage rate of the furnace and ensure the working vacuum of the vacuum furnace to ensure the quality of vacuum heat treatment of parts. So a key problem of vacuum heat treatment furnace is to have reliable vacuum sealing structure. In order to ensure the vacuum performance of the vacuum furnace, a basic principle in the structural design of the vacuum heat treatment furnace is that the furnace body should be welded in air tightness, and at the same time, the furnace body should be opened or opened as little as possible, and the dynamic sealing structure should be adopted or avoided to minimize the chance of vacuum leakage. The components and accessories installed on the vacuum furnace body, such as water-cooled electrodes and thermocouple export devices, are also designed with sealing structure.
(5) High degree of automation: The higher degree of automation of vacuum heat treatment furnace is due to the operation of heating and cooling of metal workpieces, which requires dozens or even dozens of actions to complete. These actions are carried out in the vacuum heat treatment furnace, which is inaccessible to the operators. At the same time, some actions, such as the quenching process of metal workpiece after heat preservation, need six actions and should be completed in less than 15 seconds. In such a rapid condition to complete many actions, it is easy to cause operator tension and constitute misoperation. Therefore, only a high degree of visualization can coordinate actions accurately and timely according to procedures.
