1045 Nitriding Furnace
1045 steel is a high-quality carbon structural steel. Its characteristic is that it has higher strength and resistance to deformation than ordinary A3 steel.
Its chemical composition element ratio (%): carbon C: 0.42~0.50; chromium Cr: ≤0.25; manganese Mn: 0.50~0.80; nickel Ni: ≤0.25; phosphorus P: ≤0.035; sulfur S: ≤0.035; silicon Si: 0.17~0.37.
The 1045 nitriding treatment is to apply nitriding to the steel at the temperature below the Ac1 transformation point of the FeC state diagram, and only the surface layer is transformed into the structure of the structure. The distortion of the workpiece processed by this process is less than that of the nitrided part, and the hardened layer is thicker than the conventional nitriding treatment, which can make the steel part have higher hardness, wear resistance, fatigue strength and red hardness than ordinary quenching, which is suitable for various Material. Precautions:
1. Preliminary heat treatment and tempering before nitriding-the nitriding workpiece should be tempered before nitriding to obtain the tempered sorbite structure. The tempering temperature of tempering treatment is generally higher than the nitriding temperature.
2. Preliminary heat treatment before nitriding to remove stress treatment-before nitriding, the internal stress generated during the machining process should be eliminated as much as possible to stabilize the size of the part. The stress relief temperature should be lower than the tempering temperature, and the holding time should be longer than the tempering time. It should be longer and then slowly cooled to room temperature. Normalizing is not suitable for parts with larger cross-sectional dimensions. Tool steel must be quenched and tempered, and annealing is not allowed.
3. The surface roughness Ra of the nitrided parts should be less than 1.6um, and the surface must not have defects such as napping, bumps and rust. Parts that cannot be processed in time must be oiled to prevent rust. Clean gasoline should be used when hoisting into the furnace Wipe clean to ensure cleanliness.
4. Nitriding treatment is not suitable for workpieces with sharp corners and sharp edges.
5. It is not advisable to use the method of leaving a machining allowance for the protection of local parts that are not nitrided.
6. No nitriding is allowed for workpieces whose surface has not been ground.
