Vacuum Brazing Of Diamond Single Crystal CBN PCD Tools
vacuum brazing advantages:
1. It can realize mass production and , and can produce more than 200 knives at a time;
2. It is easy to operate and more convenient. There are many tool heads on one tool, which can also be welded at the same time;
3. Increase strength to ensure the consistency of welding.
Classification of solder paste used: high temperature solder paste (brazing temperature: 850℃) containing active solder titanium, solderable single crystal diamond, CVD, PCD, PCBN, currently used for single crystal diamond, PCBN welding, vacuum requirements High vacuum degree requirement (10-2Pa) high strength. Medium temperature solder paste (brazing temperature: 800℃) contains active solder titanium, it can be soldered single crystal diamond, CVD, PCD, PCBN, suitable for PCD soldering within 800 degrees temperature, high vacuum requirement (10-2Pa ). Low temperature solder paste (brazing temperature: 730℃) contains active solder titanium, it can be welded single crystal diamond, CVD, PCD, PCBN, suitable for most PCD welding (especially PCD with temperature resistance up to 760 degrees), the vacuum is required to be high (10-2Pa).
Vacuum brazing process:
Step 1: Apply solder paste
Apply the solder paste to the weld seam by hand, place the cutter head, and fix the cutter head in the proper position by the viscosity of the solder paste.
Step 2: Put into the furnace and heat up
Put the tool into the vacuum furnace, keep the pumping state in the whole process of welding; when the vacuum degree reaches 10-2Pa, start to heat up, keep it at 300℃ and 500℃ for 3 minutes, and keep warm for another 5 minutes when the vacuum degree reaches 2℃ below the solid point, and then keep warm for another 5 minutes at the welding temperature. The temperature and holding time here can be adjusted according to the actual situation of each vacuum furnace power, the number of welded parts and the size of the workpiece.
Step 3: Cooling
With the furnace cooling, continue to maintain the pumping state, until the furnace temperature is lower than 200℃, then it can open the furnace.
Solder paste storage:
When the solder paste is not used, it needs to be sealed, stored at room temperature and in a cool place; it can also be sealed and placed in the refrigerator freezer to set the temperature within 5-20℃.
