SKD61 has good toughness and resistance to high temperature fatigue performance ,
It can withstand temperature fusion, suitable for long-term work at high temperature And has good cutting performance and polishing performance. SKD61 after electric furnace smelting and electroslag remelting, the steel is more pure, better toughness. It is suitable for making aluminum, zinc, copper alloy extrusion die, die casting die, hot forging die, and hot shear blade and other small specifications of steel (peeling, cold drawing), the ideal materials of production of the rod. SKD61 is also suitable for the production of high-output plastic mold nitriding treatment, nitriding treatment can make the mold surface to obtain a good hardening layer organization, for extrusion mold to improve wear resistance, corrosion resistance, its effect is very significant; The nitriding treatment of die casting mould can be improved obviously, and the surface corrosion resistance is conducive to the rapid release of products.
Chemical composition of SKD61 die steel:
C: 0.32~0.42
Si: 0.8~1.2
Mn: ≤0.50
Cr: 4.50~5.50
Mo: 1.00~1.50
V: 0.8~1.2
S: ≤0.03
P:≤0.03
Mechanical properties of SKD61 die steel:
Hardness: Annealing, 235 ~ 205HB, Quenching,≥50HRC
SKD61 die steel heat treatment:
Quenching:
Preheating in the first stage: 500 ~ 550℃
Second stage preheating: 750 ~ 800℃
Blow cooling or high pressure gas cooling, etc., 100 ~ 150℃ into the furnace.
Tempering:
Preheating: 300 ~ 350℃
Tempering heating: 550 ~ 680℃
The gas is cooled to room temperature and tempered three times. Quenching temperature 1000~1050 degrees, hardness 50~55HRC, heat treatment deformation is small, the surface can be nitriding treatment, so that the processed products have better wear resistance.
