Different applications consider different mechanical properties, thermal conductivity, density, corrosion resistance, etc., so different materials or even the same material often require different sintering processes and thermal equipment.
Silicon carbide vacuum sintering
The methods for preparing high-density SiC ceramics mainly include pressureless sintering and reaction sintering. The pressureless sintering process can prepare SiC parts with complex shapes and large sizes, so it is considered to be the most promising sintering method for SiC ceramics; the reaction sintering process can also prepare SiC parts with complex shapes, although the density and high temperature properties are slightly Low, but greatly reduces the sintering temperature.
Silicon carbide pressureless sintering
The pressureless sintering temperature of silicon carbide is usually above 2100°C, and the degreasing sintering is carried out under the protection of vacuum and atmosphere environment. The silicon carbide sintering furnace has good temperature uniformity, good temperature measurement accuracy and stability, so the fired products have good product size consistency, good product density consistency, and good size consistency of products from each furnace.
The long-term stable use temperature of the equipment is as high as 2350°C; the temperature uniformity is good at high temperature, and it is suitable for high-performance ceramic sintering with high requirements on shrinkage size and product density; degumming and sintering are integrally formed, which shortens the production cycle of the product. The equipment is equipped with Screw pump unit or oil ring pump unit with automatic cleaning function.
Pressureless sintering is suitable for the production of bulletproof ceramics, silicon carbide bushings, silicon carbide sealing rings, silicon carbide heat exchange tubes, silicon carbide rods, silicon carbide kiln furniture, etc.
SiC reaction sintering
The reaction sintered silicon carbide process is to press fine particles of α-SiC and additives into a green body, which is in contact with liquid silicon at high temperature, and the carbon in the green body reacts with the infiltrated Si to form β-SiC and combine with α-SiC , Free silicon fills the pores, resulting in a highly dense ceramic material. It can be used in moderately concentrated acidic or alkaline media.
The equipment has a high degree of automation and can realize one-button replacement (vacuumizing the furnace, argon flushing process), automatic monitoring of water, electricity and electricity during the operation process, and the touch screen simulation can observe the operation status of the equipment at any time, equipment alarm indication, temperature rise curve, switch machine The operation can be viewed and operated on the touch screen; the furnace body is corrosion-resistant, airtight and heat-insulating, and durable; the equipment can be equipped with a special circulating water cooling system for intermediate frequency power supply, and a protective gas purification device—effectively reducing and eliminating The equipment failure caused by the quality of cooling water prolongs the service life of the insulation material in the furnace.
Reaction sintering is suitable for the production of silicon carbide sticks, silicon carbide kiln furniture, silicon carbide wear-resistant materials, silicon carbide special-shaped parts, etc.
Vacuum sintering
Vacuum sintering is a sintering process carried out under high temperature, oxygen-free or low pressure conditions. It can avoid the influence of oxidation or other chemical reactions on materials, and at the same time, it can better control and regulate the microstructure and properties of materials.
