Technical Research On Vacuum Furnaces
1. Advantages of vacuum heat treatment
Prevent oxidation, the surface does not oxidize, does not decarburize, and has the effect of reduction and derusting, eliminating the need for surface grinding processing; vacuum degassing, so that the surface purity of the material is improved, the fatigue strength, plasticity and toughness of the material are improved, and the corrosion resistance is improved. Degreasing effect, remove residual grease, improve product quality; process workpiece without hydrogen embrittlement risk, prevent titanium and refractory metal surface embrittlement; vacuum heating is evenly heated, small temperature difference between inside and outside, small thermal stress; the design structure of vacuum furnace makes the workpiece No violent transfer action, so it will not be deformed by external force; less power consumption, energy consumption is only about 50% of conventional heat treatment furnaces, saving production costs; safe operation, high degree of automation, good working environment, no pollution and no public hazards;
2. Features of vacuum heat treatment furnace (tempering furnace)
Strict vacuum sealing: As we all know, vacuum heat treatment of metal parts is carried out in a closed vacuum furnace. Therefore, obtaining and maintaining the original air leakage rate of the furnace and ensuring the working vacuum degree of the vacuum furnace are of great importance to ensure the quality of vacuum heat treatment of parts. very important meaning. Therefore, a key issue of the vacuum heat treatment furnace is to have a reliable vacuum sealing structure.
In order to ensure the vacuum performance of the vacuum furnace, a basic principle must be followed in the structural design of the vacuum heat treatment furnace, that is, the furnace body should be airtightly welded, and at the same time, there should be as few or no holes on the furnace body, and less or avoid dynamic sealing. structure to minimize the chance of vacuum leaks. Components and accessories installed on the vacuum furnace body, such as water-cooled electrodes and thermocouple export devices, must also be designed with a sealed structure.
When processing titanium alloys in a vacuum furnace, it is not suitable to use nitrogen as a cooling gas, because titanium and nitrogen react at high temperatures to form golden yellow of titanium nitride. The active connection parts of the vacuum furnace are all sealed and connected by O-shaped rubber rings, and these parts are cooled by water. The workpiece is quenched in a vacuum state, and vacuum quenching oil should be used, which has a lower saturated vapor pressure. The maintenance of the vacuum furnace should be in the state of vacuum or pure nitrogen, and avoid inhalation when not in use. Vacuum heating is mainly based on radiation, and the workpiece should keep a distance in the furnace. During the heating process, the workpiece and the materials in the furnace will outgas, so that the vacuum degree will drop. The heating temperature of vacuum tempering, vacuum annealing, vacuum solution treatment and vacuum aging is generally the same as that of conventional treatment. The vacuum tempering furnace should have a quick cooling device. The pressure of the cooling water should be greater than 0.2Mpa, and the flow should be adjustable. Cooling gas: Steel generally uses 99.995% nitrogen, superalloy uses 99.999% nitrogen or argon, and titanium alloy uses 99.995% argon. Heating: After putting in the workpiece, it is generally pre-pumped to 6.67Pa before heating.
3. Application of vacuum heat treatment furnace:
Mainly used for vacuum quenching (vacuum oil quenching vacuum and gas quenching), vacuum tempering, vacuum annealing, vacuum carburizing of die steel, high speed steel, alloy structural steel, bearing steel, elastic alloy materials, etc. Heat treatment furnaces are mainly divided into RVGQ series vacuum gas quenching furnaces, VOGQ series vacuum oil-gas quenching furnaces, RVT series vacuum tempering furnaces, RVA series vacuum annealing furnaces, etc. Vacuum heat treatment furnaces are divided into two types: horizontal furnaces and vertical furnaces, and vertical furnaces are divided into upper discharge and lower discharge structures. The selection is mainly based on the type, shape or arrangement of the product being processed. Selection of heating components: The heat transfer method of the heating element of the vacuum heat treatment furnace to the workpiece is different from that of the ordinary electric heating furnace, and the radiation heat transfer is the main method.
4. VOGQ series vacuum oil quenching gas cooling furnace
The furnace is mainly used for quenching die steel, high-speed steel, alloy structural steel, bearing steel, elastic alloy materials, etc. can also be used for High-temperature brazing and solid solution of stainless steel materials; sintering and aging treatment of powder materials, etc. The equipment has the function of oil quenching/gas quenching,
Quenching has a wide range of applications; the heating/quenching chambers are independent, taking energy consumption and production efficiency into consideration, and the optimized design of the vacuum heat-insulated plug valve and workpiece transmission mechanism is stable and reliable, and easy to maintain.
