Maintenance Procedures for Vacuum Furnaces
No matter what quality the furnace is, if it is not regularly maintained, its service life will not be very long. So how long is the maintenance cycle of a vacuum sintering furnace? In fact, general furnaces will basically undergo a major overhaul every year, and vacuum sintering furnaces are no exception. Annual maintenance can basically extend the service life of the vacuum sintering furnace. Of course, if it is used regularly It is impossible not to pay attention to the maintenance and care of its details.
1. If the stove is used for the first time or is used again after a long shutdown, the stove must be baked first at 120 degrees Celsius for one hour, and then at 300 degrees Celsius. Bake for two hours before using the oven. This is mainly to prevent the oven chamber from cracking at high temperatures. When using the furnace, the furnace temperature should not exceed the maximum temperature, otherwise the heating element and furnace lining will be easily damaged.
2. Regularly check whether the mixing fan bearing cooling jacket and its water-cooling piping system are normal, and adjust the clearance of each part. The transmission belt will stretch due to high-temperature creep due to the tension adjustment of the adjusting bolts, so it needs to be checked once a month. If serious slipping is found, it needs to be replaced immediately.
3. The surface of the equipment should be wiped frequently to keep it clean. The electrical connectors of the electrical system should also be kept clean and tight. Check whether each connector is tight before starting the furnace each time. When disassembling the furnace body and system parts, be sure to clean them with alcohol or acetone first, wait for them to dry, apply grease on them, and then reinstall them.
4. If the furnace of the furnace uses a quartz tube, then when the temperature is higher than 1000 degrees Celsius, the high-temperature part of the quartz tube may become opaque. This phenomenon is called devitrification, which is a problem of even fused quartz tubes. Defects are normal phenomena.
5. When using a cold furnace, because the furnace is cold, it will need to absorb a lot of heat. In this case, the heating rate in the low temperature section cannot be fast, and the heating rate in each temperature section cannot be too different. Therefore, when setting the heating rate, the physical and chemical properties of the sintering material must be taken into consideration to avoid spraying materials, thereby contaminating the furnace tube.
6. During the heating process, if the vacuum degree in the furnace is lower than 27Pa, the heating should be stopped immediately. This is very important in the maintenance of vacuum sintering furnaces. In order to prevent moisture and dirt from entering the furnace, all workpieces and material baskets must be cleaned and dried before entering the furnace.
