Vacuum Furnace General Preventive Maintenance Checklist

Every 3 months:

– Check all transformers or voltage regulators (VRT)

– Check the secondary power cable to the voltage regulator (VRT) for fraying or cracks.

– The connection locations of all incoming and outgoing cables on the voltage regulator (VRT) are not loose.

– Check the opening of the flow regulating valve plate on the furnace gas return pipe with external cooling device to prevent the fan current from exceeding the rated value.

– Check the fit of the furnace door flange and the furnace shell locking ring flange to ensure that the upper, lower, left and right clearances are consistent and the position is centered.

-Ensure the synchronization of the actions of the bottom lift motor and the lift drive mechanism gearbox

-Test whether the response of the temperature control thermocouple and the over-temperature thermocouple is rapid and accurate.

Every 6 months:

– Regardless of appearance, the workpiece load couple should be replaced every 6 months. If it is found that the vacuum gauge sensor is faulty or there is an obvious error in the vacuum degree display, it should be repaired or replaced in time.

– Check the values and stability of vacuum and temperature sensors and instruments, and conduct regular calibrations according to the implemented standards.

– For equipment with paper recorders, the mechanical drive mechanism and marking mechanism of the recorder need to be cleaned and lubricated.

Equipment downtime during winter and holidays

-Prepare your facility and thermal treatment equipment for winter conditions by winterizing your water system. This is especially important if your heat exchanger is outdoors.

-Schedule necessary maintenance during planned downtime to avoid unnecessary downtime in the future and ensure your equipment is always in good condition.

-Check your spare parts inventory and replenish parts that are running low and out of stock.
