Maintenance of Vacuum Carburizing Furnaces
The application of vacuum carburizing treatment technology has spread to all walks of life, and it is one of the indispensable heat treatment methods in industrial development. The surface of the workpiece after vacuum carburizing treatment is smooth, with high mechanical properties and long service life; at the same time, it is environmentally friendly, does not generate waste, and is easy to realize automatic and intelligent operation. Then the conditions for these advantages are his vacuum ability, which enables the workpiece to complete the heat treatment process under the conditions of no oxidation, no decarburization and small deformation. Therefore, the vacuum degree of the vacuum carburizing furnace is one of the key points of equipment maintenance.
The vacuum system is composed of vacuum pump unit, pipeline, valve, vacuum gauge, vacuum sensor and so on. The vacuum pump set should be selected according to the ultimate vacuum degree and pumping rate required by the equipment. An automatic valve should be installed in the system so that it can be automatically closed in the event of an unexpected power failure to prevent air and vacuum pump oil from entering the furnace. The system should have a safety interlock. When the vacuum in the furnace exceeds a given value, the heating power supply will be cut off.
So what is the reason for the insufficient vacuum degree of the vacuum carburizing furnace in the daily vacuum carburizing heat treatment production? Common faults can be classified into two types: the pumping effect of the vacuum system is poor, and the vacuum sealing system is damaged.
Insufficient vacuum degree of vacuum carburizing furnace is analyzed as follows:
1.Vacuum pump failure: The vacuum pump is one of the key equipment in the vacuum carburizing furnace. If the vacuum pump fails, it will affect the vacuum degree. Possible causes of failure include damage to the internal components of the vacuum pump, poor sealing, and aging of the oil seal.
2.Poor sealing: The vacuum carburizing furnace needs to maintain a high vacuum to obtain a good sintering effect. If the sealing is not tight, it will cause gas leakage, thereby reducing the vacuum. Reasons for poor sealing may include aging of seals, damage to sealing surfaces, loosening of fixing screws, etc. It is also possible that a component was assembled improperly, causing wear and should be reassembled. At key sealing positions, such as furnace doors, electrodes, thermocouples and other sealing parts that are prone to leakage, find out the positions and eliminate them.
3.Vacuum pump oil is not selected properly or not replaced regularly: During the long-term use of the vacuum pump, when the moisture contained in the pumped gas enters the working chamber of the pump, it condenses into other liquids, thereby reducing the vacuum degree, thereby deteriorating, and the performance of the vacuum degree Decrease, viscosity increases, causing difficulty in starting the pump.
4.The filter screen is blocked: it should be removed and cleaned regularly.
5.Vacuum pipeline aging: The vacuum pipeline is also an important factor affecting the vacuum degree. If the vacuum pipeline is aged or damaged, it will cause gas leakage, thereby reducing the vacuum degree.
6.Pollution in the vacuum carburizing room: During the process, some gases or impurities, moisture may be produced. The vacuum carburizing furnace should also be in a vacuum state when it is not working. For the tooling and parts, they should be kept clean and clean before entering the furnace. dry. It is forbidden for impurities such as residual iron filings to enter the furnace. If these gases or impurities cannot be removed in time, it will affect the vacuum degree.
7.The vacuum degree detection instrument is damaged: the vacuum degree detection instrument is the key equipment for judging the vacuum degree of the vacuum carburizing furnace. If the detection instrument is damaged, the vacuum degree cannot be accurately judged.
Therefore, in order to ensure the normal operation of the vacuum carburizing furnace, it is necessary to regularly check and maintain the equipment, and find out and eliminate the reasons for the lack of vacuum in time.
