Laminated evaporator vacuum brazing
The laminated evaporator is small in size, light in weight, and high in cooling efficiency. It is the most advanced structural form of automotive air-conditioning evaporators in the world. This structure is used in vans and light vehicles. The evaporator has become one of the three main parts of the car air conditioner because of its function, value and large space. It has always been the pursuit goal of automotive air-conditioning engineers to obtain the maximum cooling capacity with the smallest volume and lightest weight. The evaporator has gone through the development process of the tube-sheet type, coil-pipe-tube-belt type, and now the widely used laminated structure evaporator.
The stacked evaporator has the highest specific refrigeration capacity and the lowest material cost, but the technical difficulty factor is the largest. Its technical difficulty is mainly manifested in that the tube-belt evaporator relies on the strength of the aluminum porous flat tube profile itself to ensure the necessary anti-burst pressure and anti-leakage pressure, while the laminated evaporator relies entirely on good weld quality to ensure . Under standard weld strength conditions, all welds forming refrigerant passages should be free of any defects, and among thousands of welds, the number of defective welds connected together cannot exceed the allowable value. This puts high demands on the brazing process and brazing equipment, as well as on the stamping quality of chips and molds. For this reason, the vacuum brazing process must be used for processing.
Advantages of Vacuum Brazing
1.Vacuum brazing is carried out in a vacuum atmosphere, which significantly improves the corrosion resistance of the product, avoids various pollution, pollution-free processing equipment costs, and has good safety production conditions.
2.Vacuum brazing can save a large amount of expensive metal flux, and does not require complicated flux cleaning procedures, which reduces production costs.
3.Vacuum brazing solder has good wettability and fluidity, and can weld more complex and narrow-channel devices. Vacuum brazing improves the yield of products and obtains a strong and clean working surface.
4.Compared with other methods, the internal structure and fixtures of the furnace have a long service life, which can reduce the maintenance cost of the furnace.
The laminated evaporator is a one-time overall brazing, if there is a defect that cannot be remedied, the waste products in the product manufacturing process are all concentrated in the brazing process. Therefore, solving the brazing problem is the core problem. Factors affecting brazing quality include chemical composition, surface quality, intrinsic quality and formability of materials, as well as technical performance indicators of equipment and reasonable brazing processes. A large number of tests have proved that the two indicators of temperature uniformity and temperature control accuracy are the key to ensure the smooth progress of the whole brazing process.
